I've got vengeance racing 36 lb injectors. How far will they take me?? I recently put down 375 whp and tuner said they were at 60% D.C. The package said 36 lb @ 43.5 psi but I've read corvettes run 58 pounds of fuel pressure. Thinking of some cast 220 heads and bigger cam or procharger for next venture.
A 36 lb injector at 3 bar (43 psi) on a Corvette would have to be inputted into your tune to be approx a 45 lb injector because a Corvette is rated at 4 bar (54 psi)
If you had it tuned for the new injectors make sure your tuner fixed the injector flow rate table to reflect the change
60% duty cycles is well under the industry recc max of 80%
You have plenty of room I have run the DC's as high as 95 % before as long if it's only for a short time
There is NO HP advantage to going to larger injectors if you don't need them---In fact
large injectors often create drive ability issues for daily driving and idle---as the large injectors cannot produce the small amount of fuel needed at idle or P/T--
On a dedicated race car no big deal---But for a car driven on the street--especially an automatic it won't be fun to drive JMHP
PS SC kits or turbo kits most always include the appropriate sized injectors in the kit as well as a base tune to reflect them
I'm with you there. That why I bought them in the first place so there was a little room. Thanks for the reply. I'm sure you will be getting another order from me next fall.
