I have ants coming out of my door hinge. I'm from California I had a car cover & a tarp on during all the rain we had 3-mos. now I have billions of ants need help coming out by the hinge. none inside the car.
what should I do take it apart to get rid of them or use vinegar or lemon with water?

LMAO! You beat me to it! That was my immediate thought.

If it were ME, I would remove the COWL Cover and make SURE that all the windshield cowl trough is clean and ANT FREE!

If there are no ants there, the hinges do go into the interior and sometimes are not sealed properly>

If you want to KILL the entire nest, you have to set out an ant bait that the workers can bring back into the colony so the queen dies. Unless the entire nest is in one central location (like an UDDER), sometimes its difficult to stop them.

Try this BORAX mixed with sugar.

Mix 1/2 C sugar, 1 1/2 Tbsp Borax, and 1.5 C warm water. Soak cotton ***** in the mixture, and put them out near the mess of ants. The sugar attracts the ants, and they'll take the Borax and sugar back to their home. YES, BORAX will kill the ants.

Hope the OP will update this thread on what the solution to the ants is - would be interesting to know where the ants were nesting and what worked to get rid of them.

Had a similar problem in my Cruze after several months of rain here in California and the only way I got rid of them was to place several bait traps in various locations inside the car and cowl area.
