Have gotten these :U U1016, U1064, and U1096 in the past which I learned is loss of communication with pcm, bcm and ipc. Had them pop up again last night. Any idea why these would continue to pop up? After LT install last night, a few more : P0157, P0137 and C1222, and C1221. Can anyone tell me what these codes are and why they may have popped up?
Sorry for all the questions...these damn codes are a pain.
The loss of communication codes are nothing to worry about, we all get them from time to time.
P0137 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0157 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
C1221 LF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0
C1222 RF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0

P0137/P0157 are from the rear O2 sensors. Did you have a H (history) or C (current) after the codes? If you reset the codes do they come back?
You get the low voltage code if you run without connecting the rear O2 sensors or have faulty O2 sensors. I doubt you have broken sensors becuase it's not likely both brake at the same time.
With the header install, the o2 wires were disconnected but I thought they reconnected them. The codes were current when I arrived home last night. I cleared them. This morning after the drive to work, no codes. Does that mean they are ok?
You have two sets of O2 sensors. One set installed in the headers (in front of the cats) and one set after the cats. The PCM uses the set in front of the cats to maintain correct A/F ratio. The second set which you have problems with are mounted after the cats and are monitored by the PCM to ensure the cats works as they should.
It sounds strange if you had Current codes when you got home because if the shop started the car sometime during their work without connecting the rear O2's you should have had History codes.
If you do not get the codes back everything is ok.
It could be a bad sensor, loose sensor(not fully seated in the bung), loose connector, bad wire but it's hard to tell. I do not remember if the P0157 is the left or right side. These sensors have a long wire and have the connector close to the headers and are likely to get burned if not mounted properly.
Maybe it's time to get your car up on a lift. It's almost impossible to see anything from the top.
