Default torque tube question

I didn't have any luck with searching so asking. If you are going to pull your torque tube for service and do a clutch at the same time can you replace the driveshaft and older style 10mm couplers with the driveshaft and 12mm couplers from a Z06? From what I can see in diagrams it looks like it would be a pretty easy swap and from what I understand the C5Z driveshaft is a stronger and lighter unit than the standard unit.

You're meaning just the shaft inside, right?

I think you could, but you'd have to drill and tap the 10mm threaded holes on the input shaft and output hub to 12mm threads.

Yes, the driveshaft itself inside the torque tube and the corresponding 12mm couplers.
