Here is the fix that worked for me on my 98 coupe.
Remove the glass top. Carefully clean all the weather striping on the top and the mating surfaces on the windshield and targa.
Then apply a thin coat of silicone grease (the type made for weather striping; some folks swear by Krytox brand) to all the mating surfaces. Allow it to soak in and then lightly wipe off the excess.
Also lube the clamps and their bed-down points with a very thin coat of say WD40 or a teflon lubricant spray. Wipe off the excess.
Replace the top.
The whole process will take under an hour and the top will again be seen and not heard.
Thanks for the advice guys. I was wondering if there is any "mechanical" adjustments?
Yes, there are....remove the top....look down into the cam lock at the windshield....you should see two bolts....loosen them to reposition....be careful...you won't need much...a fraction goes a long way.
