Default Motor mounts during LT install

Hey guys, little confused on lifting my motor during my LT header install. Looks line I'm going yo have to raise the motor a bit for more clearance. Do I loosen the 3 bolts that go to the motor, or the bolt on the bottom that connected to the engine cradle?
Thanks

What brand headers are you installing?

Most LTs will go in without loosening the motor mounts. The original design Kooks did go in easier lifting the motor. I just pulled the nut that holds the stand to the mounts. I did not touch the 3? bolts that hold the stand to the block.

The basic procedure in the link below should work for most headers on the market today.

if necessary it would be easier to loosen the cradle to mount nuts rather than the bolts that hold it to the block

I'm installing XS Power Headers. Just can't seem to find a way to get the driver side in, which is supposed to be that easy side.

I found it much easier to get the bracket off the motor and out of the way. My headers are 1-7/8" primaries w swaintech coating on them. Every car is gonna be different because its tight in this area

One poster put the header in from the bottom:

I can see removing the stand for 1 7/8 but removing the one nut that holds the stand to the engine mount was simple. We jacked the motor up a touch. I believer we did this for the passenger side on the original Kooks 1 3/4. I sold the old design and am now on LGs Pros.
