headers & precats????

headers & precats????
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on something for me. When I was up at lingenfelters, they said that since my car was an 02 and had precats, they wouldn't put headers on it. Anybody know what they meant? I am looking at the stainless works headers. Will they work on an 02? What do I do with the cats?

I suppose that technically, they can't remove the precats because of Federal emmission laws. That doesn't seem to stop others, so I don't know if there is some way around this. I do notice that most headers say they are for "off road use only". So perhaps if you promise to only drive on the track, they can put the headers on and not be liable.
