Plugs and wires
I'm getting some PM done on a 2000 vert with 69k miles that i just bought, fluid changes etc.. The car is running fine but it was suggested that I replace plugs and wires because they are original.
Does this make sense?
Thanks!

ABSOFRIGGENLOOTLY! Your wires will MOST LIKELY not survive the plug replacement.
SO, I highly recommend that you get some new AC Delco Iridium's, and purchase the GM Performance RED wires.
They are approx. $65 bucks for a new set and they are QUALITY Wires and fit properly on the coil towers.
Best bang for the buck!
Check with Gene Culley He has great prices on the wires.

The plugs were designed to last that long though most people recommend replacing them sooner.

I did this recently, +1 to the GM performance wires. I did the plugs with NGK TR55's, that said, the original plugs on my 82K mile Z06 were in pristine condition. Maybe replaced? Threads were a bit rusty but the tips were in great shape!

YEP,,, GM says,,,,
the plugs are designed to last 100,000 miles. HOWEVER, you will most likely find the gap is VERY wide. That effects your idle smoothness. The longer the plugs are left in the heads, the more difficult they can become to remove.
If you don't know the service history of the engine, just replace them with new.
REMEMBER,, PLUGS & WIRED WILL NOT ADD ADDITIONAL HP!!!! NO matter what HYPE the manufacture tells you!
New stuff will just restore what you already have!
Don't forget to add a LITTLE dab of ant seize to the plug threads and put DIELECTRIC grease inside the boots!!

Plugs and wires.
Brake fluid. its been changed twice but looks black.
Front and rear shocks, based on thinking these are the originals.

I recommend C6 Z06 shocks. They are better and cheaper.

TBH, I don't know. I assume its the base because the sticker just lists 4 wheel double wishbone w/transverse fiberglass leaf springs.

There should be a pro code list in the glove compartment that would tell you if it has the Z-51 or F-45 package

Heres what I saw in the glovebox...
AAB AG2 AK5 AQ9 RGR B34 B84 CJ2 C05 DL5 DL8
FE1 FE9 G90 G92 1LE JL4 JL9 K63 LS1 MX0 M30
NF2 NK4 N37 QE5 T82 T96 UN0 UV6 U26 U52 U75
VMS V73 XGG XGH 1SA 10U 16T 701 703
BC/CC U9567 703 16T
Is there a translater I can use to look this up? Is the FE1 the suspension code?
Thanks again!

Hum I must of been lucky. I only change the plugs at 100K. Did not have any problems with wires. But I tell the one by the brake booster was a pain in the ***
I used 41-110.

FE-1 is the BASE C5 suspension. You will be AMAZED at with the change that ANY new shock will give you.
I have a ZO6 and added the C6 ZO6 shocks and they made a tremendous improvement in emergent maneuverability and high speed turns.
Cant beat the improvement for $350 bucks. Got mine from Gene Culley.

You have G90 3.15 ratio performance axle. That's a plus.

I'll echo the consensus - the GMPP Red Wires are a very good replacement wire set and the AC Iridium plugs are also a good choice.
