Default Radiator Hose Issues

I have a 2004 Z06 with 17,000 miles. It still has the stock radiator. I decided to start enjoying the car more and attending some track events. I recently ran a 1/2 mile event. I replaced the coolant and hoses before running this event. During the second run the top radiator hose pushed off the top connection. It had the stock spring clamp, and I felt like I attached it as normal. I have replaced many hoses in the past with no issues. I feel like it would have come off on the first run if it had been loose.
I am asking to see if anyone else out there has had this issue.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

I have had issues in the past when using some aftermarket hoses, especially less costly hoses. Did you put on GM or Dayco?

It's a common problem. Good quality aftermarket hoses are often smaller in diameter than the factory hose. You'll need to replace the factory clamp with an adjustable clamp that will tighten the hose properly or see your Chevrolet dealer for an OEM hose and hope it's the same diameter hose that you removed.
