Default Name this leaky part on top of the trans

Can anyone name this component on top of the transmission? Appears to be leaking so while I have the drivetrain out, now's the time to address it.

I'm also going to replace the diff output shaft seals. But I've also read there's a large o-ring type seal for the diff housing side covers. Does that need to be replaced too? I've been searching for the OE part #, but most threads only discuss the axle seals.

Thanks!

I'm not sure on the part you have pictured. This thread has the O-ring Part #'s

That plate contains the reverse lock out and solenoid and the actual shift gate plate.

I will attach some post that will make your day. It shows the inside of the trans and how to BEEF UP your C5 Differential with C6 ZO6 parts!

That top cover contains the reverse lockout guts as mentioned. Remove the cover, clean both surfaces gently with a stiff bristle BRASS brush (so as not to scratch up the surfaces), and then apply a coat of RTV to the cover. I followed this procedure on mine this past winter and not a single droplet of oil Good luck!

Mine looked just like this when I pulled it out. I even had some fluid on the bottom of the trans from this box leaking. I think it's a far more common issue than is recognized. I sealed mine up as nsogiba recommended and it's been perfectly clean for 1000 miles so far.
