Default Need Electrical Help

2003 Vette. 6 spd.. Base Model.

I think I have maybe an ebcm issue.
Randomly, The Dash- DIC and analog gauges just go out
along with power window control and HVAC unit is whacky..
Can anyone point me to which Module Fuse and or any other
fixes.
This started happening after install of double din stereo.
\I got the switched power source for it from #11 fuse in
under foot fusepanel.. I used the correct tap that keeps the oem
fuse intact at ACSYON marked #11
No Fuses Blown...
STuff quits, then comes back on .. /???????

LOL!! You most likely have one or BOTH of these issues.

1. Ignition Switch contacts are going SOUTH (arched/burnt)
2. Driver door or Passengers door or BOTH door power electrical connector has damaged SPREAD female pins.

Got to pop out the accordion tube and examine the POWER Plug for damaged female pins:

TOP center pin is WAAAAAY bad!

That points to an IGNITION SWITCH issue. That would be the FIRST thing I would check!

8VETTE7, Yes the BCM.. (been a monday for several days in a row )
The problem shows up, then just goes away while driving sometimes..
It's a friend"s car, so I'm not really driving it myself.
I have it now.. He called me... It was screwy for him on way to work..
I went to pick it up.. still screwy.. But then drive a few miles and everything just
came back on and working properly now.

I was thinking BCM since it's so many items that come and go all at once

Carpet NOT wet..
I went thru and checked the voltage at all the fuses according to Bills write up
on ignition switch..
They all have battery voltage.. no drops
I rechecked my wiring and fuse tap to #11 for the Stereo INstall..
All Good.. Have battery voltage there too

Guess I'll wait it out and see if issue pops up again..
So IF It Is the Ignition Switch, Then it's just a coincidence with the radio install I guess

This may sound crazy but... I decided to inspect the BCM for water damage as a precauctionary measure after reading about issues here. Everything was fine, so I put it back in and closed up the access panel. A half mile down my road I got a ton of codes including comm codes. I went back home and stopped and started the car and all codes cleared, I then reseated all the connectors and made sure there was no stress on any wire connections or data bridges that are in that compartment. Fine after that.

Since you were in there It may be worth trying, there's alot going on in there and it gets pretty hot when driving.

Good luck.
