Was wondering if there is any real benefit to by-passing the TB with the two coolant lines that run two it. Plan on just looping them back to each other and putting 1/4" caps on the TD nipples.
TB Bypass is benefitial for car in the north were temps get cold. In Fla where I live I by passed mine. Not sure if there are any gains or not. Maybe the TB will stay cooler.

Just did mine 2 months ago. Absolute zero power gains but no longer Robs you of power when temps are high.
Don't expect performance gains, but it does make life easier if you're going to be pulling off your TB or intake for any reason...
Yeah played hell with them when i swapped to the LS6 ... should have just left them off them but i wasn't quite sure if i really needed them. Now I see I don't. Not expecting any gains ... just maybe better temps into intake and may be lil better temps in radiator, even if it's slight.

Hey joe,
Interesting, never heard of that until just now.
Tonight i was bored and cleaned my maf sensor and took off the tb to clean it. Not to dirty and all clean now. So i would just loop the 2 coolant lines to each other and cap the nips? What do the temps have to do with it?
You can either get a hose nipple and plug each hose from the TB onto it or remove both hoses and run one new continuous one eliminating the pass through of the TB. I used a longer hose to get it out of the way and make it a cleaner installation. My Nick Williams TB doesn't have the coolant connections so it was a necessity in my case.

Not really sure. Maybe someone else with a lil more knowledge can explained.
The temps have nothing to do with it, years ago it was hyped to lower the TB temps but the air passes so fast through the TB it had no effect. Any warm air will come from engine bay heat.
