c5 No start. hot rod project
Hey Guys,
So I purchased a 2001 corvette auto. I get no clicks when attempting to start engine. Fuel pump primes. I jumped the TDR relay and it cranked. No voltage at starter when key is turned over fully. brand new battery. Cleaned grounds. I think it might be the BCM. Security light goes out before attempting to start. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am planning on using this corvette as a donor for my 1940 nash lafayette. Thanks

no powertrain codes detected.
If there is a way to bypass the ignition and bcm that would be great. just want to run the car before I pull it apart for the project.

I tried to use the built in code reader but the buttons do not work on the cluster . this car has almost everything gone and sold (ie air bags doors etc)
Maybe I should look into getting the buttons to work?
Does the engine need the bcm to run.... as in.. can I bypass the bcm completely?

Is the VATS sysyem functioning pprperly?? Without VATs, the BCM will not allow the PCM to fuel properly.
Clear ALL the old DTCs and read them again and see what pops up and go from there.
