Default Air intake/vacuum hose

Hose, blue wire is extender I had to make

Where does hose go? Should I drill a hole?
hello. I put a new air intake on a few years ago. Then I got cancer. I don't remember where the vacuum hose plugs into. Seems to run fine without it. Should I drill a hole?

I bet you have a very early C5 97-98???? Please always let us know what year car you have. In this case it makes a big difference.

That hose looks like the vacuum reference line to the fuel pressure regulator. If you have TWO fuel lines on the fuel rail (SUPPLY & RETURN), then that is the reference line to the fuel pressure regulator.

Yes it should be connected.

There should be a nipple on the old air bridge that it connected it to.

ZIP use to sell a re-mapping kit that allowed you to connect it to a vacuum line on the other side of the engine. That way you dont have to drill a hole.

I think I remember somehow that the old air bridge didn't fit with the afe unit. So drilling a hole in the new bridge shouldn't be a big chore, it should work as designed then I take it. Thanks for your help

I had this all planned out before I started the project, then stupid Lymphoma came. One of the benefits to Chemo Brain is all the new stuff I'm finding hat I bought for my car. I bought this unit used, previous owner drilled a hole and put a plug in the opposite side. It is capped off. I will look to see if they sell a bridge with a nipple, otherwise just drill a hole and push hose in it, secure with bonding agent

Its the intake air temp sensor. You should have one installed somewhere. Do you have a newer five pin second designed MAF installed. (2001-2004) That MAF has that sensor installed inside the MAF.
