Friends! 99 FRC with a cracked leaf spring. Looks like my options are to replace it or switch to coilovers. Realistically I don't need coilovers but hey, you only live once. Money is an object so odds are I'll simply replace the leaf spring. Looking for your thoughts and experience.
Coilover recommendations or warnings? How many hours is the swap / what is fair cost for a shop to install?
Leaf Spring replacement - part recommendations? Move to a Z06 leaf? Anything I can scavenge from a C6 and work in? What's to be expected for a shop to do this work?
I would find C5 Z06 springs, shocks and sway bars.
The rear leaf spring is cracked.
Found a full Z06 suspension front and rear for $500 locally - you guys think that's priced high/low/fair? I'm leaning this way as I don't need an adjustable suspension that I never adjust...
Why replace it with stock when you can upgrade for not much money. If you are still running on stock shocks it's probably about time to replace them since they are 17 years old.
A great option is the Aldan American setup which IMO is an AMAZING deal for the price... $1199 Shipped to your door, Made in the USA, 100% rebuildable, and we can customize to your specs.. We are a LG dealer also and would HIGHLY recommend these over the GT2
