Default Trans fluid leaking...thoughts?

Very small drippage of trans fluid happening on my 2004 coupe. No big puddles, just a few drops every couple days. Seems to accumulate at that bolt and buldge area in th pics. Thinking it is weeping out that small hole and gravity is allowing it to run to the lowest point. Then driving is forcing it back onto the pan bolts. Only the front pan bolts have fluid on them and I don't see fluid anywhere else above this area. I'm worried this is a seal on the torque converter and will require the whole transaxle to come out (read: $$$). Any thoughts on what the cause and fix is?

Moving this over to C5 Tech. Good luck with a fix.

Probably the pump seal on the transmission. Take the opportunity to install a performance torque converter and 3.42 rearend.

Feed the leak for a while and when you get around to it fix it. It is actually not that difficult to drop the trans.

If I do end up having to drop the trans, I will give this some serious thought. Would love to dump my 2.73's and build the trans to open the door for a cam someday.

Bumping this up for more thoughts on the source of this leak. Pump seal is the only thing mentioned. Anything else it could be?

Torque Converter to pump seal or a Pump O ring to trans housing.

I would learn how to PROPERLY check and refill the trans if this can not be fixed soon.

It would SUCK to run the trans low on ATF and burn it up.
