Default Exhaust question 2002 hatchback

I am in the process of removing my stock C5 after/ converter system with a Borla Singer 2 outlet (not 4) system. Was considering replacing the X pipe. Is there a considerable horsepower/noise gain?

The X might even reduce the noise level a bit. Noticeable HP increase? No.
Edit; I'd still always recommend an X for what 8vette7 said.

I put on a Magnaflow X-pipe, was supposed to add like 5 HP but yeah, who knows about that. It did kill the motor boat sound which I actually liked.

If we got all the power each modification manufacture promised from using their product, we would not be able to drive our cars on the street!

I It will change the exhaust note and reduce the motorboat sound but, don't hold your breath on any added HP.

Check this out!!

If doing this to a set of headers doesn't kill power, adding a single X pipe sure wont!!!!

I found this AMAZING!

HA!!! Here is an X Pipe, H Pipe and NO crossover test!

You won't see any HP gains, but the exhaust note should be better and if the mufflers produced any drone, the X-pipe should help with that.

Its very SAD!

Everyone talks about and compares the X pipe to the H pipe but NO ONE ever considers the O Pipe.

I bet that sucker will add some power!!!!
