Default driveline removal

Has anyone tried to build a 2-3ft high front and rear steel frame (like wooden saw horses for wood working), to hold the entire driveline and sub frames of a C5 so the body chassis can be lifted off the driveline with your twin post lift? I'm thinking this would be a fast way to gain full driveline access for significant work. This winter I'm rebuilding my engine, torque tube, diff, and tranny for my C5Z racecar. Anyone every try that?
