HUD Bench Test?
Question. Can the projector be illuminated in any way out of the car?
No chance anyone has a wiring diagram?
The vacuum fluorescent display has grown dimmer with time and am looking for a solution.

The hud gets its data from the IPC. I don't think you can power it up by itself. You can bench test with an IPC, I have done this. You can see the display looking into the HUD from the top at just the right angle.
Vacuum florescent display will get dim over time with use. The only solution I know of is replacing the display element. I don't think you will find these separately however.
