Default C5 active handling warning

Hi, have an issue with the following 3 warnings coming on: Service Active Handling; Suspension; and Reduce speed.
I have checked the fault codes on the vehicle and all l have is a 28-TCS-C1296HC.
Checked the fault code list and this code is not listed: does anyone know what it is and is it associated with the warnings that l have?
I have cleaned about half the earths (all were fine), wiring connectors, charged the battery etc;
I have not removed the wheels and checked any connections on the dampers at this stage.
The vehicle is a 1999 C5 manual with sports suspension.
Thanks for the help

I would try the troubleshooting info that Bill Dearborn post #2 first.

Seems it could be the sensor OR it could be a short in the wiring.

As to disconnecting the TC and Suspension switches from the console.....
Not sure why this kills the code unless it points to a short in the wires. These wires run from your console switches under the console which can be an easy place to get a wire shorted if the console has been removed and things modified.

ok will do.
l have been reading the posts and have checked the parts suppliers.
The part is no longer available so l hope it’s not the switch.
l do also have a 1964 and 1959 and l can get all the parts, may have to wait another 10 years for the 1999 parts to be made available. Also l did bleed the brakes about two weeks ago, would this cause any issues?

May not be the sensor, but I think they are still available.
I went to the RA link I sent you and was able to add the part to my cart.........so I think they have one.

I have checked the system and my vehicle has the switch on the brake proportioning valve not the ABS unit as shown in photos.I take it that the photos are for a 2001 to 2004 C5s?

I checked the wiring etc. and it appears ok at this stage.

The fault normally appears after 1 to 2 kms of driving. If l remove the plug from the switch on the master cylinder the warning comes up straight away regardless of whether the vehicle is driving or not.I do have a sharp bend in the black wire (does not feel right) where it enters the connector plug (my vehicle is a right hand drive) and the coolant bottle is very close to the end of the connector.I did have a wiring issue with the low warning on coolant bottle coming on every now and then, which meant that the switch plug was being moved slightly as l worked on the coolant issue.I think that this may be my problem in that the wire have started to break or the pins in the plug became loose after all the work on the coolant bottle. The Service Active Handling; Suspension; and Reduce speed warnings do not come on when move the wires around.I have ordered another plug and the plan is to replace the plug and about 400 mm of the wiring loom. The part number on the side of the switch is 1041177.Some of the sites that l have checked have the part as discontinued; does anyone know from where l could purchase a new one? There is one for sale on eBay but l don’t like to purchase second hand switches as you don’t know what you are getting.
