2003 c5

Live in Canada and am looking for a good cold air intake. What would you reccomend?

Can open, worms everywhere...
I think a standard Blackwing, K&N, etc is fine for a normal DD. Or even a Z cover on your stock box.
Edit; I do like the idea of oil-less filters...

Be aware that some designs will hydro lock , which might be a concern in your area.

I'm going to try a oil less filter on a vararam.

Where would one find an oil less filter for the vararam intake? My car came with a vararam but I'm not a huge fan of oiled filters. I didn't realize there were options.

After quite a bit of searching, there's a old thread with a bunch of different part numbers for filters that are close to the measurements. I ordered a wix 46004 for a jaguar. It's a little shorter and narrower but should work. Had turbulence issues with a conical oiled air filter and wanted to see if paper would make any difference.

After ordering the wix and hacking it up, I'm gonna give the green vararam filter a shot. I didn't like the fit of the wix. The frame on it was metal and didn't fit well.
