Default C5 Headlight Issue, HELP!

Replaced the gear in my 2000 drivers Headlight, put everything back together, however now when the right headlight goes up, the left one goes down.....and vice versa. The gear can only go in one way, so that can't be it. What did i do wrong? PLEASE help

tried tweakin it with the lights up, adjusting the **** on end, but it still cycles thru to being exactly backward on the drivers side (when lights are turned ON, it goes down, when OFF it comes up)

Replaced the gear and all that, and it worked for about two weeks. NOW, both lights go up with no issue, but when I turn them off the one i replaced the gear on (drivers side) does not go down. If I turn it back ON, then the drivers goes down while the passenger comes up, and it stays on that reverse format as I go On and Off, any clues as to what is going on? Frustrated
