Is it necessary....?

to change out the valve stem keys when replacing the valve springs? :confused:

I guess if it's the same thing as stem keys. I was looking at the actual 3 volume Vette manual and "valve stem keys" is the term they used.. It's the last piece that sits atop the retainers and holds everything in place..

I never like to re-use the retainers or locks after disassembly...too much at risk if you drop a valve :yesnod:
