Did you pull the codes? There are about 2 dozen codes that will turn that light on. I hate to be the guy with the bad news, but only 01-04 EBCM's can be repaired

100% AGREE!!

Before you go any further, pull the DTC using the DIC and post ALL of the DTCs listed.

IMPORTANT. Clear ALL of the DTCs and then take the car for short drive. BEFORE you turn off the ignition, clear all the DIC messages and then read ALL of the DTCs and post them.

I have pulled a code c1243.. I have spoke with ABSFIXER they said they have had luck fixing that code for the 99 moduie. I will double check with absfixer before I go any further. I am having a little trouble removing it ,so I will wait until I hear more from them. Thank you guys very much.

C1243 BPMV Pump Motor Stalled is what that code is about. You can use a Tech2 to exorcise the the motor and at the same time change all your brake fluid so you can bleed all the old fluid out, before you send it out to ABSfixer

If the BPMV Motor isnt actuated or used. (dont ever kick in ABS Braking and or Active Handling) the motor / pump can STICK and cause high current draw which the module senses and sets that DTC. If you RUN the motor thrugh the TECH2 it usually frees it up and fixes that issue.

A Tech 2 is a hand held diagnostic tool that was used in dealerships to diagnose and repair computer / electronic problems.
You EBCM only activates in a panic stop situation. The Tech 2 has a built in program to activate the EBCM pump while your car is stopped and off.

If you don't have a Tech 2, which i assume you don't then bleeding and refilling your brake system won't really help you.

This is a Tech 2 Clone. Authentic Used GM Tech 2's can run in the $1000 to $2000 range. Most of us by clones made overseas and seem to do everything a authentic Tech 2 does.

Default abs motor

thanks guys for all your help. I took the car the the shop, they used a hand held and worked the abs motor, changed the brake fluid. Still had the light come on, then I saw Bills thread about problems with the bad grounds, pulled them apart, cleaned and put them back. So for all is well, but my turn signals stop working when ever they want, turn the car off restart and they are working again. Any thoughts ? Thanks Earl
