Hello All,
Since I just recently bought my 98 c5 vette the security light comes on solid while I am driving and sometimes it did not come on.. I couldn't figure it out.. Well I figured it out now...
If the key is in the ignition cylinder, all the way in, I get no security light while driving, But if you take off quick from a traffic light and the keys slide out/ back a little it triggers the security light on the dash, It will not reset till you restart the car... Just thought I would share this with you guys, You probably know this already but WTH... Hope it helps someone...

After reading about issues involving the ignition cylinder wear, I removed all stuff from the key ring except Vette key, 'fob, and house key.
