I just finished up my oil pressure sender replacement and I noticed the pressure when hot at idle dips to 17lbs. While driving it's in the 30-35 range. I checked the oil, it was full. I run 5/30 Mobile1.
The car is a 2000 with 95K. Runs great. Should I be concerned?

The car will run with that pressure/s just fine. If it were me, I would remove the bottom portion of the bat wing oil pan and check the oil pick-up tube for obstructions. YES, they do get stuff in them and that can reduce oil flow to the pump. Without proper oil flow, the pump will output lower pressures
If, you check that and its not obstructed, you could do a little front of the engine surgery (remove the damper and front cover) and replace the pump with a new Melling high pressure pump, new fresh timing chain and better more reliable damper and fresh front dampener seal.
Kill three birds with one stone...
With 95K miles, you could also have a little con rod bearing wear and that will also lower the over all oil system pressure.
Thanks Bill. How big of a job is it to drop the lower half of the pan?
Im planning a cam swap next winter, so I'll definitely replace all of the items you suggested.
VERY EASY!!! The entire procedure can be done on jack stands. If the pan seal is in good shape, you can even reuse it.
BE CAREFUL when you reinstall the very small fasteners. DO NOT over TORQUE them. The are installed in INCH POUNDS. (cant remember the value) but it isn't much.
The job shouldn't take more than a couple of hours with basic hand tools (allen socket, ratchet, Inch Pound Torque wrench)
