I left my 99 beauty in the garage for a little too long and the battery went dead. The previous owner installed a battery charger so I plugged it in and a few days later she started back up like nothing ever happened.
However now I got the "service ABS" "service TC" warnings, and both TC and ABS are illuminated on the dash. After a bit of browsing I came upon this thread, and downloaded the PDF that's called "tutorial for A-H, TC, and abs problems." https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1574465190
Has anyone got this error after a battery died? Just looking for ideas before I start taking the EBCM and BPMV apart.. hoping there's some reset I can do that will clear it, and not hardware problems that I'll have to diagnose and replace.
The "diagnostic display" mode is entered with the following procedure:
Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine.
Press the "reset" button to turn off any warning messages
Press and hold "options" and
While holding "options", press "fuel" four times within a 10-second period.
Write down codes and then clear them. Maybe the light will go out.
Cool, thanks for the vid and links. I'll try it tonight when I get home.
When you do this, be sure to write down all codes (DTC’s) and post them here. Don’t clear them until you are sure you got them all. There are some awesome experts that monitor the tech threads here that can really help with some great advice.
I agree many forum members can help you out once we have the codes. Could be a wheel sensor or even ground problem. Many reasons for codes beside Ecbm failures.
