Differential Break In Procedure
I had to replace the rear differential in my '98. The new unit is an RPM Stage 3 3.73 ratio. I am getting differing guidance on the break-in procedure. One set of guidance says the car needs to be driven 300-500 miles avoiding sustained highway speed. The other guidance is that mileage is not necessary but at least four heat cycles are needed. In both cases the lube needs changed at no more than 500 miles. What say you?
