Z06s will not come with a run flat OEM so you will likely not find a Z06 with run-flats. They were ditched and in it's place a GM supplied tire repair kit would be installed. All other models received a run flat tire OEM.
I ditched the run flats that were on my car right after I bought it (they were over five years old anyways which is WAY too old for tires). I carry just a 12v compressor. If you have a small leak the 12v will fill it up enough to get to service and if you have terminal side-wall damage or a blow-out a run flat isn't going to help anyways; you would be calling a flat-bed.
There are other factors. Price is a big one as most run flats are way more expensive than conventionals. Another is both road noise and performance, with which most modern conventionals - even most of the cheap-o tires - will vastly outperform run-flats in all aspects.

Come to think of it I can't remember the last time I had a tire blow out. I'll be following your lead and buying conventionals. My tires are way past due for replacement, all be it rarely gets driven anyway. Plane to replace them soon and then sell.
Switched to Normal Tires 3 years ago after 3rd set of runflats..
What a difference.. I will never go back to run flats...
Talked a few friends into it as well.. Love the NON Runflats
I ditched the run flats just lately on my 03 Coupe. Handling, steering, ride and noise much better. Went with Hankook's. Keep a low profile scissor jack, plugging kit, air compressor in the car.
No run flats here either. The run flats used to hop in a corner whenever you hit a bump. They were awful. Now running Toyo Proxes T1 Sports.
I carry a Gold AAA card and a credit card. I would rather just flat bed home if I have a tire issue as there is only one tire dealer I will let touch my Z16 wheels.
