car quitting.
My 1999 c5 corvette 5.7 litre engine will almost start and then just quits before it'll start.I had it in storage for the winter months. It worked good when I put it in storage. I checked all of the fuses and they are all ok.

my 2001 did the same thing but sometimes it would start and run fine. At first didn't get any codes so I changed my battery and it still would do it sometimes. I cleaned the pellets on both of my keys and then it threw a code. I don"t remember the code right now but it did refer to the VATS system. I measured my resistance on my keys and ordered a GM resistor kit online. After I pulled the center console, the key cylinder has a wire coming off of it and I traced it back to where it plugs into the VATs system, just under the dash, put the resistor and and car has failed to start in 3 months. Radio shack has some resistors and I soldered all connections and put it back together. This is what happened to mine, hope this helps.
