Any tips on fixing the P0492 code?

I had the common p0492 HC (secondary air) CEL pop yesterday on my 04 Z06 CE. I ran the codes, cleared them and they have not returned for 3 on/off cycles.
I've done a bit of reading and for PM, I will push some throttle body cleaner, followed by a lubricant (WD40 type) product both pushed by compressed air to make sure the check valves are all happy.
It seems TOO simple... any tips or am I missing something?
Thanks!
The intake has to be pulled, but it is not a bad job at all. I also replaced the O/P sender while I had the intake off. I went with the Standard Motor OEM replacement O/P switch.
When I got the old valve off I saw the problem it was extremely fouled up and would not close anymore. No amount of cleaner would have fixed mine. It did have 144,000 miles on it though.
I would give the wd40 a try and see how it works for you. Good luck with your repair.

Any thoughts on how MUCH to squirt? Is this a 10 second blast or 60 seconds? I don't want to over think it but I really don't want to foul things up down line.
BTW. I disconnected the hose connection near the alternator yesterday and "Blew" into end then, put a vacuum hand pump on the system. The air moved freely and the vacuum suction held perfectly. Hopefully I just had an anomaly.
I'll mess with it later today.
