Default 2003 Radiator replacement - Fittings ??

original radiator on my 2003 started leaking - found a replacement on ebay - the fittings on the original for the trans cooling lines are different than the aftermarket ones which leak -
anyone had luck with a straight swap without having to make line flares and use a piece of hose ?
Thanks

I had a similar issue when I tried to install my Dewitts out of my 99 into my 03.......fittings do not match. This is because GM changed the AT fittings between the years. I never did find adapters so I sold my 99 Dewitts and have stayed with the original 03 rad.

You might be able to adapt the port with two fittings. The 1st design is female inverted flare, and the fitting that hangs on the tube is M18-1.5 metric.

I have another thread running where I am asking for pictures of the 1st design 97-2000 trans fitting if anyone can post a picture.

Tom,

When you say " the fitting that hangs on the tube is M18-1.5 metric."
are you describing the fitting that hangs on the tube for a 97-01 or for a 02-04 ?

Thanks,
Jim

Well that was kind of misleading words on my part. I guess they both have something that stays on the tube. I did get the photo I was looking for in the thread below. The one pictured above is the metric port with a seal on the tip. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...os-wanted.html
