Get rid of the bump stops that are on the shocks. You will have to take the shocks off to get them. You don't need them.

If I take them shocks off, I’m buy the Bilsteins 8’s. Already missed two used pair firc1/3 of the price. There won’t be a third

Better read this. There's is no shock that is shorter for lowered Corvettes. I've looked into many and owned quite a few.

Unfortunately the Eibach lowering bolts fiasco counter acted against the comfort from that upgrade because the Z06 shocks don’t work well with the lowering bolts. I had the opportunity to get the Bilsteins B8 sport’s that were designed for the lowering bolt’s but once again my budget did not permit it and now I’m paying for it. I won’t pass them up again.

I guess i can live with the current height of the car but the B8’s are now added to the list of essentials. Since the B8’s are shorter in length for the sake of them not bottoming out do you think the body would sit lower as well ? What shocks are you running ?

Thanks for the complement man. I'm running the $300 GM C6 Z06 shocks from Gene.

Default Not so good if a week for upgrading

I couldn’t even bring myself to go through the entire thread after tracking my exhaust that’s not showing up until Wednesday night. And still I have it the ol college try. Until the advice I followed that influenced my purchase of the C6Z51 sways, that are great by the way and perform about as closest to a new vet as possible. Since putting on the lowering bolts that phase lowered my car and are producing comments are destroying my Z06 shocks from bottoming out on these darn jacked up hackd up NJ roads. I’m at the point now (because I decided to build the car from the ground up it seems futile to keep them on. I doubt we’re gonna see a set of B8’s for sale with the demand they are in suddenly this past week or so. In lieu of completely destroy my brand new $300 Z06 shocks From bottoming out now regularly I might as well buy a new pair of shocks to make the best of the lower setting I was excited for keeping it at is not even fun to drive as a bitter perfectionist. Oh well,my about 2 month old Z’s will be up for sale after I complete the exhaust install. Butvsho’s Gonna want them after this fiasco. Lol ok, I’m gonna take a completely different route. I tried to build an exceptional rice from the ground up. Until I shell out 800 for Bilsteins 8’s that is not a possibility. So Friday whdn my exhaust is done I could have been off top a great start only 2 months in of this build but listening to other people I guess was the wrong thing to do. But I guess stuff happens and there was no way any of us could have prepared for that,

so to make the best of the suspension situation what can I do until my exhaust gets here ?

This is what your stock shocks will look like, I only did the fronts for my own curiosity.

Not sure if there is more shock travel with bump stops removed.

I don’t know if they are actually shorter in length but they are specifically for a lowered application.

Not sure what is going on with the lowering of your car, you should be able to slam it with those Eibach bolts. After looking at the pics, I know for a fact that mine is lower using the stock bolts, fronts 1/4 turn from bottoming and 2 threads exposed on the rears. Has it settled anymore since you lowered it?

Well it seems with an inch and 1/8 if thread remaining in the back to further lower it, and with the front bolts completely bottomed out. I lost.

Correction, they look almost bottomed out in the back to. Brain fart. Could probably go a little lower with the nuts but that will change the already sub par rake. I was told 6-8 threads exposed will give it a 2 inch drop. Doesn’t seem to be the case.

Current stance after a couple days of driving. Not satisfied looks like to much space above tires. It’s no doubt lower but I expected to have more adjustment space to fine tune the rake. It is what’s it is.

Would the drivers side pirch that the rear wheel upper control arm sits on being out of whack from the accident be the culprit ? The frames straight, i was with the car from the auction purchase, to the frame rack and body repairs. So the pirch issue was the only problem that wasn’t fixed to factory spec because the new quarter panel was put on already and the guy didn’t wanna damage it trying to I guess pursuade or bend the pirch back to its factory position.

How about a picture of what the leaf spring looks like from behind the car, showing the whole assembly from one side to the other.
