Battery Disconnect Switch for Side Battery Terminals
Anyone here use a battery disconnect switch that attaches to the side of the battery terminals? I always seem to be disconnecting the battery for one reason or another, seems like they would save time, etc. Do you prefer one over the other?
I have been looking at disconnect switches so I can tow a Chevy Colorado behind a motorhome. There are several that are also remote control and the Battery Brain will monitor battery voltage and shut the battery off when the voltage drops to 11.8 so it will restart the car. Not sure if they are of interest as they are obviously more money. Here is a link to the battery brain: Battery Brain
There are a number of them on Summit that don't have exposed contacts, which I would prefer over the two you have shown. With an extra length of wire you can move the switch to a better location and solve the side mount issue.
