I noticed today while driving on the highway the lights start flickering along with cluster and hvac controll system. This was the first time seeing this and the car was running a little hot too ~230 coolant. When i turn on the runing lights the flickering stops but the left turn signal indicator displayd in the cluster stays on solid green (this explains the B2583 code i guess when i checked the codes). I dont know if this is related to heat or my new led switchback bulbs. I did install the harness which is supposed to help with flickering. I bought the lenses and switchback bulbs used so i assume the left side has gone bad? The installation was done two months ago so not sure why this is happening all of the sudden.
Any feedback is appreciated. In the mean time I am going to order some new bulbs and see if that helps.
This is not a bulb issue you have a grounding issue. The first (and easiest) thing to do is to remove and clean up your battery terminal grounds. That would be my guess. The fact that putting on your lights improves your situation tell me that the extra voltage required "powers through" the crud and makes better connection. If that does not make a difference, the next thing I'd check is your left turn signal bulbs, grounding.
I pulled the left bulb out and wiggled it then the flickering stopped. I am starting to think the issues is related to the bulb or connection being lost when i hit a bump on the road. I am going to put back the normal bulb then see if it appears again

You are on to something as If your bulb is not seated correctly it will cause the same flicker effect as a bad ground as contact in on/off/on/off .
End up ordering new led bulbs from radioflyer and everything is good now. What happened was one of the led bulbs had gone bad causing the lights to flicker. There was rattling noise from the bulb when shaking it so something must have broken inside. Radioflyer bulbs are a bit expensive but worth the money, very solid bulbs.
I love the illumination I see in modern LED lighting, but there sure do seem to be a lot of headaches in retrofitting into systems designed for incandescents.
