I believe what you are looking for is a product called "coolit" from SacCity Corvette.
http://www.saccitycorvette.com/COOLITv2.html
It does not automatically turn the fans on. You have to press the button on the remote to turn them on.
Recognize that this may interfere with the normal flow of air through the "free-wheeling" fans when the car is above 35 MPH.
GM felt that the air flow through the fans with them free wheeling with vehicle speed above 35mph provided better cooling than with the fans operating. As always YMMV...................
Just to let you know what we found out when we were doing all the testing on the Coolit, we found that while cruising at 40 mph in 100 + degree weather here in Sacramento the temp on our C5 zo6 would run around 215+. When we turned on the Coolit the temp came down to around 205.
This test C5 is running a 440ci, big cam and Ron Davis radiator and it runs hot. In the tune we have the fans set to come on at 205 and off at 195 instead of the 226 factory setting, but after 35 mph the fans dont come on unless we use the Coolit. So the Coolit really helps out on C5's that
have stock fan settings.
Thank you,
Christian
