Rear differential seals
I just recently bought this 2000 Corvette and I love it, but the only issue with it is the rear diff is whining really bad. I got another to swap it, I have someone lined up to swap it for me but I am trying to switch the seals out of it before I take it to him so I can get this warranty on it. The seals on the CV axle sides aren't hard to change at all, but I can't find a how to on how to change the input shaft seal on the trans side. Can anyone help?

Auto trans or manual trans????
When you have an Auto diff, there is a fluid divider bulkhead with a seal in it. It divides the diff lube from the trans and seals around the trans output shaft. ,The seal just POPS OUT, of the bulkhead just like the output shaft seals.

It's an auto. And alright, thanks. I was just making sure I wouldn't be having to pull a bunch of things apart to pull that seal out. In case anyone else has this issue, this one seal is like $60 at a Chevrolet place. Luckily, my local dealer had it in stock as well as the other 2 for the CV axles.

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If it were me,,, I would also replace the VENT VALVE on top of the diff. They have a rubber disk in side that gets old and stiff and either leaks and or fails to preform its function. Easy replacement and it not expensive.
C5 differentials have very WEAK Belleview clutch pack springs.. TOO MANY C5 are driving around with worn out or broken springs. Its recommended that the springs are either inspected and or replaced. When they break, they will either wear out the clutch packs and or the broken pieces can destroy the spider gears.

The warranty probably requires the TSB for the side cover o-rings. It requires the addition of an anaerobic sealant to seal the case properly. If i had to guess, that's probably what they were referring to, not the axle seals.
