I just recently sold my C4 and got a 98 C5.…I have noticed a little bit a water underneath the car in the garage. When I first got the car it was still a little warm out and I just chalked it up as condensation from the air-conditioner. But recently has not been all that warm in Michigan and I have not been using the air-conditioner and I’m still getting the water underneath the vehicle.
The water Is around the passenger footwell/battery area.
The passenger footwell in the car is bone dry, the battery is not leaking and I cleaned out the drain utters. I’ve been keeping a close eye on the coolant system and everything seems to be OK I’m not losing any coolant the car is not overheating and everything seems to be working as normal. And besides that it’s definitely not coolant, The coolant in the car is orange and when I’m finding on the ground is clear with no smell.
It hasn’t been out in the rain lately …And I haven’t washed it for several days…
I drove the car Monday it was parked Tuesday and on Wednesday I find a small puddle under the car again.
Take a look at the HVAC drain tube on the passengers side fire wall. The 90 Degree drain tube has a pinched opening that may be a little clogged and is draining very slowly. You can grab the tube and exercise the pinched area to see if its free and clear. You can also pop it off the drain tube exiting the fire wall to see if trapped water comes out.
The tube is directly behind the passengers engine cylinder head.
If the air temp is above 40 degrees, the AC compressor will still activate so it still could be condensate. I'm also in Michigan and still get condensate on the ground.
When you say you aren't using the AC, are you turning off all HVAC functions or turning the AC button to off?

do u have to take the plastic valve cover off?
Never mind a little research and a flashlight and I found it. It doesn’t feel clogged and it was bone dry
