Default Crossover fuel line

It appears that I have a leaking O ring on one of my fuel tanks at the crossover hose connection. Do I need to drop the axel and gas tank to get to it?

I just swapped out the right fuel tank on my 2001, I had the remove the exhaust from between the headers and the axle-back, but that’s it. After that, remove the access pannel, drain the tanks, pull the “straps” (pans that hold the tank in) and disconnect all the lines. If you are removing the right tank, you also need too pull the right wheel well and access flap so you can disconnect the tubes and wires going to the vent valve. For the left tank, you will need to pull the left wheel well to disconnect the fill tube. You do not need to pull the axel for either side.

One thing...I am not aware of any O ring on the crossover hose...but perhaps you have a different year that does have one?
