Heater question

is the ac supposed to be on when trying to heat my car. 2004 Vette. The ac light is on. I must be doing something wrong when I turn it on.

If you have auto climate control, it will often start in defrost mode, or split between defrost and heat. It's normal, the system is just programmed to run the defrost to try to keep the windows from fogging up.

i had the same question. Anytime I turn my defroster on the a/c light turns on and I couldn't get it to shut off. Thanks for asking

I think the ac comes on anytime the defrost is used , I was curious because my ac comes on when I’m trying to use my heater , I couldn’t find much in the owners manual..
