Default Blower Motor inop

2000 c 5 with dual auto HVAC control. Blower motor will not come on when using the HVAC control. When using the mode selector
it shows an increase in the fan speed but no Blower. The last time it worked I hit the memory 2 switch and it came on. I put a new battery in and it hasnt come on since. I connected a tech 2 today and was able to operate the blower through the tech 2.
The DTCs that show are B0441, B0446 l/h r/h mix motor out of range
sun load sensor 4.3 volts outside temp 2,5 volts and inside temp 3.0 volts all with in range
any help will be appreciated

I had to replace the blower motor resistor a while back. Not a bad job. removing the passenger seat makes the job easier.
We know your blower motor works but is inoperable at any speed. Could be the blower motor relay . You might want to read this link :

The blower motor controller for your system is DIGITAL. It does NOT have the resistors that the manual system has. IF you can operate the blower with the tech2, it is being commanded ON through the serial data buss. That means the motor controller module and the motor are GOOD. Your issue lies somewhere in the dash control head. The control head SUFFERS from POOR solder joints. A WELL KNOWN ISSUE!!!
The soldering is SO BAD that some of the resistors on the board just fall off!!! YEP.... If it were me, I would open it up and see if you can find a loose resistor, poor solder joint or if all else fails, get a good used one from Vette Nuts.

Let me know what you think. I can send you the HVAC control schematic if you provide an e-mail address.

Thank You Bill for the reply. I am about to change the cluster so I will remove the hvac module at the same time and check out the solder.
amazing that the joints are that bad. I do have the manual set with the schematics but I thank you for the offer.

Do a visual inspection of the surface mounted components. If you don't see any OBVIOUS issues, I would resolder all of the resistors at a minimum. Use a magnifying glass to inspect all the other solder joints. Re-solder if necessary. I fully believe you will be able to solve your issue.

Today I removed the glove box so that I could put eyes on everything Blower related. In the process I removed the BLOMOT fuse to make sure it was good. I pushed on the connector going into the blower , relay and the resistor. Key on and the blower came on through the HVAC control like it should. All the fan speeds work and even though I got the DTC's listed above everything worked correctly ans I cycled through each position using the MODE switch.

I have a new cluster to put in so I still plan on hitting those solder joints
