If you are looking to purchase a "Chinese Clone" Tech 2 you'll be paying around $350.00 or so on Ebay....I bit the bullet 6 months ago and purchased a used "REAL" one for a little over 1K...if you want to use a scan tool on multiple cars there are many good scan tools out there...Actron, Autel, OTC etc...depends how much you want to spend !!...having bi-directional capability like on the Tech 2 is a plus for troubleshooting !!...I mainly use my Autel MS906...a lot easier to navigate than the Tech 2...my thumbs get tired after a while with the Tech 2...Autel is touchscreen....LOL !!!

Default There are modules for about $110 using a PC to clone a Tech2

Look on Fleebay and you will find small modules which attach to a PC which are similar to a Tech2 in function. Have not used one but maybe someone who has can comment on their usefulness.

Another vote for the Nano. It can be a little tricky to get loaded, but works very well for the price point.

Yes !!...from what I’ve seen so far...if you purchase a 906 from Autel (not “gray market”) there are no warranty concerns. The Autel hooks to WIFI so you can get your free 1 year software updates. Like I had said the Autel is touchscreen, bi directional like the Tech 2 and just easier to navigate !!... here’s a video !!
