There is an OIL TEMP SENDING UNIT over/by the oil filter..
It is bad.. or the wiring/ plug...
Pretty simple fix.. Just be patient and use your tools wisely.. Kind of PITA to contort your hands...
Mine started giving really weird readings on the DIC.. Like 30^ below current ambient temps !!
If you use the dic and cycle thru the gauges section one of them will be oil temp. What is the temp?

FWIW, most cars that have an actual oil temp read out, show an oil temp of 200-205*F, after the car/truck is fully warmed up. This is what my 'Vette shows, HOWEVER, it takes a LONG time for it to get there. THAT is why we're asking you for a number.....
Guys, the DIC can and will say low oil temp. So please stop asking because he has answered multiple times. It sounds like it is the sensor. You could buy a new one and ohm each one to compare them before swapping it. I have seen my car say low oil temp multiple times when it was below 30 F outside.
