After watching so many break their rears, I finally got bitten. Went to the Domestic vs Import (BOY WHAT A SCENE, LMAO!!!!). Pulled into the water box, wet my tires and pulled up. The track guy pulled me up to far into the rubber IMO. So any way, I waited for this stupid race RICE Mazda to get up to the lights. IT TOOK HIM FOREVER to light both yellows. By that time my tires had already have dried up. I was then instructed to start my burnout. I felt a funny moaning noise and when I lined up and went green.....CLUNCK!!!!!!!!! Car didn't even budge. Had to be pushed off the track, while the ricer crowd was laughing. What a BUNCH OF %$#@#!!!!
I think the combo of the dried tires and burning out on the rubber made an ugly recipe. NOTE: I have the stock output shafts which have lasted me longer then most with the hardened ones. Well I know what not to do next time. :D :( :(
BTW:Temps and D/A were there for a new personal best :( :( Oh well have to wait till next time.
Aw hell Mark, That freakin sucks, figures it would happen in front of those @#$%! ricers. Did Dave come out, dust you off, and pick up the pieces? I'm sure your ride won't be down for long with Cartek nearby :yesnod: Btw, nice meeting you Bro! Great job at CC.

No sweeping or mopping needed. Just the outputs broke so nothing was leaking. Dave and Julio came to pick her up and they gave me a ride home. Thanks Cartek.
I told a forum meber friday nite that you were going to break it this weekend :( The crystal ball doesnt lie mark :nono:
Rom, put on your swami hat this weekend and see what your prediction is(Crystal ball in hand) for my car when it is all sorted out  Mr. Predictionist  :jester :D
JD since this is the first time I'll be doing a prediction for your car which is a c4.......I will need $500 in advance to cover your first time membership fee.
After seeing the way your car launches at the last couple of races, I thought for sure you had a hardened shaft. Its amazing it did last that long. My car is going to cartek in a few weeks for a new clutch and i after talking to dave i am gonna do 4.10s with it too but i will be sure to get the hardened shaft.

I'm staying with the stock shafts, IMO the hardened ones break easier. The only reaso I broke mine is the combo of doing a burnout with dry tires on the rubber part of the track. This is not the ideal place or way to heat the tires.
Hey Rom, when was the last time you drove the GN? :D
You really think the hardened ones break easier? I am gonna get a heads and cam package like yours done there soon too but i dont have a lot of money so i gotta try and get everything right in one shot. If the hardened shaft isnt needed i'm fine with that cause its more money in my pocket but i dont understand how the hardened ones break easier. Aren't they hardened to be stronger and not break easier? Do all of the cartek heads and cam guys have the stock shaft then?

 How many hardened shafts have you heard about breaking? I've yet to hear of any. You're worrying me now because I have a hardened shaft...
