Default Overhauling the C5

My clutch is going so I am going to use the opportunity to refresh the car. I have an 01 C5 base with ~110K miles and have some leaks (oil pan, probably main seal, VC ect) that I want to button up. At a min I intended to replace gaskets, clutch master/slave cylinders, Motor/tranny mounts, and timing chain. Couple questions.

1: Any other maintenance items I should consider as preventative?
2: Any recommendations on a online parts place with good pricing on OEM/OEM quality parts?

Check the oil pressure sensor, as that could be the source of you leak on the back side of the engine. They sit behind the intake manifold and leak down the back. Lots of people think it's the rear main and that turns out to be fine.

If your Harmonic balancer is wobbling, may be time to do that as well. DO NOT replace with OEM, Get a Powerbond or other aftermarket balancer. The OEM's failure rate is crazy. Replace the front main seal when you do that.

Since the drivetrain will be out, might want to replace bearings and couplers in the torque tube.

Also check the axel seals on the Differential, they are know to crap out early and often. If you diff and transmission is filthy, those are likely the cause.

I got just about all my seals, couplers, slave, master cylinder and balancer from rockauto.com. Can't remember where the torque tube bearings came from, but they aren't expensive, and sites sell them in a 3 bearing kit.

I went with a Luk clutch kit that came with pilot bearing.

Only thing I would say, if its a gasket is not leaking, I wouldn't go out of my way to replace. If you are doing a clutch, might not hurt to do rear main, but may not be required.

Good luck

Remote bleeder for clutch would be on my list.

Lots of labor for the timing chain unrelated to clutch labor. I would leave it alone unless there's an issue. Motor mounts too. The tranny mount will be accessible. The hinson mount helps shore things up. Definitely torque tube bearings and bushings while that's out. Maybe send you shifter box to TDM for a freshen up while it's out...easy enough to get to separately too. Unrelated to the clutch - shocks and sway bar links will go a long way toward improving ride/handling if they're original.

Also, change out the pilot bearing. I just installed a Katech remote bleeder in my car. I've read where that one is supposed to be the best.
Look at AMT for engine mounts and SAC City for differential mounts. They are polyurethane encased by aluminum and steel, respectively.
Since you are looking to stiffen things up, research the 1/4" transmission tunnel plate. I got an LG.
If you have not done so, recently, this is a good time to replace the fuel filter.
Check your lower ball joints. When I replaced my clutch, RPS BC-2, mine were completely shot. Moog has them with Zerk fittings.
Good luck.
