Default Push rods

I'm getting my 241 heads ported and installing 224/228 - 600/600 lift cam from TSP. does anyone have idea on push rod length I will need without heads going on first. I have a 1997 Corvette c5 and figured maybe someone on here might have similar set up.

You need to measure for pushrod length. That's the only surefire way to know the correct length. The rest is speculation.

100% Spend the cash for a push rod checker, read up on how to measure with it and get the RIGHT ONES with out guessing!!

While you are in there, you should replace the lifters (yea i know you can reuse the ones you have) BUT, with the added lift and better springs, the OEM higher mileage lifters might not last long (noisy/collapse).

Replace the lifter buckets!! The early buckets had design issues. If they have a "10" on the bottom side, they are unreliable.

IMHO, Regardless what you have for power, splurge and get the ARP Head Studs. Reduces the chance that you will pull the head bolt threads out of the block! It also makes installation MUCH easier!

NOTE & WARNING! MAKE SURE that each and every head bolt hole is 100% dry and clean before you screw ANYTHING into the holes. They are BLIND HOLES and you can rupture the block if you force in a head bolt over water or dirt!

What balancer did you get?

What dampener bolt are you going to use?

Do you plan on replacing the oil pump and timing chain???

NOTE! When you are ready to press off the old dampener, use a heat gun or torch and heat the dampener HUB up to about 150 deg. It will make the removal MUCH MUCH easier. Same for pressing the dampener back on.

DO NOT use the old bolt to start pressing the dampener back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Budget on this one so can't get ATI Dampner so will be getting a Summit Racing 10% with ARP bolt. I already purchased New GM performance oil pump and will be replacing chain with LS2 chain.

Strongly recommend installing a timing chain dampener. Your block should already be factory machined and tapped to install one! Easy and cheep!
