Default Need help identifying a part

Need some help. While swapping out the PCM on my 2002 Z06, I noticed that the plastic wheel well filler panel was busted. It looks like someone might have tried to jack up the car on the filler panel. Anyway further exploration found a disconnected vacuum line behind the passenger side front fender. It looks like there is a vacuum canister with a busted inlet port that could be it's home. I'm trying to order the part but want to ensure it's the right thing. Has anyone dealt with this? I think it's part #17113332, but I thought I remembered seeing a vacuum canister at the rear of the vehicle as well. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

The only place that you will be able to get that part new is a dealer (IF THEY EVEN STILL STOCK IT)!! Many of our C5 parts are no longer supported and unavailable. Check with the dealer.

I strongly recommend calling Gene or Patrick at CULTRAG Performance. Great people with all kinds of C5 Parts knowledge.
If the part is available, Gene will get it for you. Other than that, I would go salvage Contact Marc at VETTENUTS C5/C6 Salvage. He has a whole yard of good USED C5 parts.

I have a labeled picture of the C5 vacuum canister and all the lines. Provide me an e-mail address and I will send it to you.

You have to have that vacuum or your HVAC vacuum operated vents will NOT WORK and the air will come out of multiple vents. You will not be able to select which vents/dampers you want.

Thanks Bill,

That probably explains why I have been getting a DIC code related to the HVAC. I will have to check the vents. I think currently they are all blowing out of the dash.

HI BIll,

I checked my HVAC system and all of the vents appear to be working correctly. I did notice that the passenger side temperature adjustment **** isn't working. This has been like this since I got the car about a year ago. It appears that there are two vacuum line ports on the canister. Perhaps the one that is hooked up is for the vent control and the one that is broke off is for the passenger side temperature control?
