Traction control problem

I have a 2001 C5 and when I get to 40 to 50 mph the traction control comes on for no reason.
Anybody know what is causing this?

Does the car jerk slightly? What codes are you getting?

It dose not and I checked for codes and there were no tcs codes.

Tough to diagnose with no codes. I’ve never heard of a tcs light coming on and at least not having a history code.

I thought there would codes too. It's weird when you get to 40 mph it cut the throttle back.

Sounds like either 1287 or 1214. Maybe the code will pop up after more driving. Mine started out as intermittent.

It will only set a code if an error is detected. The computer thinks it is doing what it is supposed to do. There will only be a code if traction control is disabled. Did this just start happening? What are your tire sizes front and rear? Are you using the dic to check the codes?
