Default brake cable connection to ignition switch

What is the secret here on disconnecting it please? I see the black clip and I push it up and it moves a bit but is seems like something else has hold of it inside the switch. I do not want to break it....Any help would be great.

The ignition. Switch must be in the ON pisition....comes right out then after you push the little clip up under the cable connection

YEP! Turning the switch to the ON/RUN position is the secret to:
1- Removing the brake cable. Just press the release tab on the cable connector.
2- Removing the ignition switch key cylinder Once the key is in ON/RUN, just press the small tab on the side of the cylinder barrel.
