z06 Service Active Handling Message - Codes Inside
I have a new(to me) 2003 z06 with the "Service Active Handling" message. The car has the c6 z06 brake kit on all 4 corners(installed by the previous owner) and no other mods, other than exhaust. We pulled the codes today and could use some help with how to tackle these or any insight to find a solution.
Codes are:
TCS: C1293H
SDM: B1000H
U1040H
*I believe the following are not related to this issue, Left Door Control Module, Right Door Control Module, but I'll post them anyway:
LDCM: U1064H
RDCM: B2283H
B2285H
B2265H
U1064
We did some research on the TCS code C1293H, and found that the brake pressure reading to the EBCM could be reading too high (more than 40psi) and disabling the VSES(vehicle stability enhancement system)? Could this perhaps be due to the larger brake kit?
Anyone have experience with these codes? + use with the larger brake kit?
Have you considered the very common EBCM bad solder issue that can throw TCS codes and give Service Active Handling warnings. Plenty of posts regarding DIY repair and/or send off for repair (ABSFIXER.com).
DTC 1293 = Has something to do with DTC 1291 which is an OPEN Brake Lamp Switch Contacts. Check the brake switch on the brake peddle bracket and see if it misadjusted. Pull UP on the brake peddle and hold it there with your foot, clear the code and cycle the ignition. See if it returns. Could also be a bad switch, bad connector, wiring ect....

Wow, this worked! Thank you so much for the suggestion. The code is no longer present and Active Handling is now working.
